3 things you should try doing at the start of your day
Feb 13, 2022

Whether you're waking up on a Monday morning, or it's Saturday and you're at home with nothing to do for the day, these three activities will ensure that you get the most out of your day!
Drink a cup of coffee or tea
It might seem like an obvious thing to do in the morning, but if you're anything like me, then you don't just automatically get out of bed and start your day. This is truly one of the most important things that I've learned over this past year.
I highly recommend drinking a cup of coffee or tea in the morning. It can be calming to slowly drink your cup while trying to wake up and prepare yourself for the day ahead.
Taking the time to drink your morning beverage will help stimulate your body and get it ready for the day ahead. If you're like me, then you might be sacrificing your sleep on most days to wake up early, but this act of self-care is something that I always make sure that I do before start with my work.
If you don't like the taste of coffee, then I suggest buying a fancy tea instead. It will be just as effective! Finding the time to do this will help you start your day off right.
Quick morning exercise
Exercise is one of the most important things that you can do for your body and mind. It's a great way to start your day because it gets your blood flowing and helps you to wake up.
I usually try to exercise for at least 30 minutes in the morning. I'll either go for a run, do some yoga, or lift weights. Exercising in the morning is a great way to set the tone for the rest of the day. You'll feel more energetic and motivated to take on whatever challenges come your way! Don't like waking up too early? Wake up and exercise at the same time every day. Over time you'll build a habit of exercising first thing in the morning, and it won't seem like such a big deal!
So give your body a wonderful start to the day with some exercise!
Take some time to plan your day
The third and final thing that you should always do at the start of your day is to plan out your day. This includes figuring out what you want to accomplish and when you need to be done.
If you have a specific goal that you're trying to achieve, then it's helpful to break it down into smaller steps that can be completed throughout the day. This will help keep you on track and motivated to reach your goal.
I usually like to plan out my day the night before, so I can wake up and know exactly what I need to do. However, if you're more of a spontaneous person, then you can always plan out your day in the morning. Just make sure that you give yourself enough time to eat breakfast and get ready.
Break down your goals into manageable chunks. Don't try to do too much or else you'll be overwhelmed.
When planning out your day, make sure that you schedule some "you" time in there as well! With all of the responsibilities and activities throughout our days, it's easy for us to forget about taking care of ourselves.
Conclusion
Bonus tip: Schedule some time to do something fun or relaxing, so you'll have a good mindset the entire day!
Having these three habits at the start of your day will ensure that you get more done and feel better about yourself. Your body and mind both need to wake up slowly and helping them along is one of the most important things that you can do for yourself!
